Programmer Jobs
Programmer jobs are responsible for the creation and maintenance of the software products that are used to compose documents, compile spreadsheets, keep track of dynamic data, access the internet, and perform many other computer-based functions that have become an essential part of business in the modern age.
Some programmer jobs include software programmers, who write and debug the source code upon which software is based, program analysts, who gather application requirements from managers and users to develop application logic specifications, project managers, responsible for putting together project plans for software development and monitoring progress, and software testers, who evaluate the software from an end-user perspective to find defects and suggest changes to improve usability.
Entry-level programmer jobs such as software tester may require only a high-school degree, while programmer and analyst positions may call for at least a two-year vocational degree or an associate’s degree in a programming-related discipline. Programmer jobs such as project manager or quality assurance manager may require a bachelor’s degree or higher, and generally also require several years of experience as well.
